The Nebraska Zephyr, built in 1936, travels from Chicago to Galesburg to Quincy back to Galesburg and finally to Chicago
I'm biased, but these are really fine pictures of a great train! Wonderful shots in all kind of settings and definetly a rarity to see the train out on an excursion.
My hopes are to bring it to Burlington for an excursion(s) so that some great pictures could be taken of it again at the Burlington depot, where it once stopped twice a day between Chicago and Nebraska. This is absolutely the only remaining zephyr in tact that is running right now!
